Shraddha Saburi

Sai Baba Shraddha Saburi at Shirdi Blog

During my recent visit to Shirdi, Sai Baba confirmed and reassured that only Faith and patience” will do miracles in life.

As a child, I was raised to plan and program well in advance about anything and everything; whether it was cooking, giving an exam, travelling…. Everything needs to be planned well in advance, otherwise I would be stressed.

But Sai Baba taught me these lessons..

When I reached Shirdi this time, I realized I forgot my eye glasses at home itself. It had never happened before because I always keep my glasses in my handbag only, even at home. I have power in my one eye, and in the other, there is an issue with the retina, which surfaced after my research studies, when I would constantly use gadgets in preparation.

Usually, I would feel lost without my eyeglasses, but something told me this was all Babas plan. I thought to myself, “since I can’t keep scrolling on my phone, let me listen to the audio version Sai Satcharitham as much as possible”.  This happened only because I didn’t have my eye glasses.

Later I realized that listening to Sai Satcharitham at Shirdi itself was Babas plan and that is why I forgot to bring my eyeglasses.

We had booked for Kaakad Aarthi and got into the queue in time. It was moving systematically with a few breaks where we sat and waited inside the newly constructed halls. All the arrangements by the Shirdi Sansthan were good, and the lines of people moved gradually. But still, there were a few, who were bypassing the queue, wanting to reach the Samadhi mandhir quickly. Fights and arguments broke out among these devotees too. My husband was also a little upset by the way the people were pushing each other in the queue.

At some point, Baba gave me this thought and I uttered the same to my husband and to the crowd as follows:

If we really believe in Baba, that he is the one who has made us stand here at this very moment, we should also believe in his grace that he will make us sit in front of him in his shrine and give his darshan to satisfy our souls and bodies…”

I said this purely by Babas grace and not out of my own intelligence or understanding.

The queue moved along. There was a moment the crowd got more ferocious and pushed each other to go near Baba, but I was in utmost happiness and gratitude, moving calmly in my line. Suddenly, one of the security guards pulled open a dividing rope and ushered about 5 to 10 people inside to sit in front of Babas shrine. Myself and my daughter Thamizh Oviya got this golden opportunity to sit in front of Baba for about 60 minutes, and I was overwhelmed with joyful tears. No words can explain his grace and love. It was the most blessed and memorable moment of my life…

I realized his words in front of him!

Shraddha and Saburi (Faith and patience): the teachings of Baba. He made me believe that I will have a good darshan in front of him and it happened masterfully.

All his grace. Sai Deva…

The next day, our return flight got delayed for 3 hours. We had to vacate our room early and wait in the airport for about 3 hours. I started listening to the Sai Satcharitham audios. Finally there was a call to board the flight, when I realized I was listening to the last chapter of Sai Satcharitham. In the boarding queue I met a devotee who said she had waited for about 40 years to see Sai Baba at Shirdi. She had been reciting and listening to Babas Aarthi songs right from her childhood.

It had taken her more than ten flight bookings to get to visit Shirdi and get a glimpse of Sai Baba at Samadhi Mandir for the first time, as her earlier bookings got cancelled every time due to some reason. She was emotional when she shared about her journey to Shirdi, which had happened miraculously and all of a sudden. She got to see Baba in the noon Aarthi with him wearing her favorite green dress too.

I too was in tears of joy when she shared her story.

One thing I understand from these incidents is:

Everything is Gods plan.

We need only to have

Shraddha (Faith) and Saburi (Patience)

As said by Sai Baba himself.

Thank you Sai for blessing me to complete Sai Satcharitham at your shirdi.

Shraddha Saburi

Sainath Maharaj ki jai.
